I feel like all I do these days is go to appointments. I didn’t have an OB appointment this week, but I did have a dentist appointment. No cavities, but apparently my gums were bleeding a bit. This week I do my one-hour glucose test for gestational diabetes, and next week I have another ultrasound to check on the baby’s placenta, blood-flow, and growth.

I have started having a few mild pregnancy symptoms. I often have a bit of heartburn/acid reflux at night; usually if I take a couple of tums, it goes away or at least becomes less noticeable. I also woke up on Sunday morning with round ligament pain. It was a deep ache in my side above my hip that lasted a few hours. We took our son swimming later that day, which seemed to help. I don’t remember having that in my first pregnancy, and I’m hoping it was a one-time thing.

I work part-time, and while I am there, our son goes to a babysitter. She usually has just my little guy and two babies (6-8 months); however, she is helping to cover a maternity leave. So for the next four to six weeks, she will have another two-year-old. According to the babysitter, on the second day that they were together, the other two-year-old pushed my little guy from behind (for unknown reasons) and before she knew it they were rolling around on the ground and she had to “break up the fight.” My husband says he would have paid good money to see it 🙂 I had mixed feelings. I don’t want him to be a bully, but I don’t want him to be bullied either…..He technically didn’t start it. I think it’s probably just normal two-year-old behavior, so I’m not terribly worried.

Exercise: one short jog and two p90x work-outs: arms and KempoX. I was actually surprised to be sore after KempoX (which is like kick-boxing) because I really didn’t feel tired while I was doing it.

Weight: 135 pounds (up one for the week and 20 for the pregnancy)
